Is the CCL-listed item/technology to be shipped to a foreign country or transferred to a foreign national in the U.S.?
If it is determined, after consultation with UT’s Export Control Officer, that the CCL-listed item does not require an export license it may be shipped under a license exception.
Records related to overseas shipments must be stored both locally and centrally on campus. The PI, the Project Manager, or another person to whom this responsibility is delegated keeps copies of the description of the item and its use, along with any confirming shipping documents, with the project files.
